Back in October 2009, following consultation with the members Culminis was renamed to Global IT Community Association (GITCA). Effective December 1st, 2009 onwards, all reference to the organization are under the new name.
During the last year's transition from a Corporation to a fully volunteer organization, it was felt that a name change was necessary to complete the cycle and begin anew. The primary values of the organization have not changed but the volunteer structure has significantly altered the routine operation
